- An Imagine v2.0 object by Carmen Rizzolo: The Amiga 3000 Keyboard
-
-
- I'm baaaack! Here's a matching keyboard object for the "A3000-CPU"
- object I made a while back. Included in the archive are two models.
- "A3000-Keyboard.obj" and "A3000-FastKey.obj." Most of you will be using
- the fast model because all the seperate 'key' objects have been joined
- together for faster drawing time in the editors. If you want make an
- animation of some actual typing, use the slow model; all the keys are
- seperate objects and are clearly labled when using the "Find By
- Requestor" funtion. Other than that, the Keyboard objects do not need
- dinking with, so I didn't bother naming each and every piece of the
- Keyboard housing. No, I did not slap decals on each and every key. If
- you really want this done, E-Mail me, and maybe I'll add it on for a
- small fee. All those decals would make the object QUITE huge, and really
- wouldn't show up very clearly unless under a tight zoom. Also, the time
- required to add decals to each key would have probably delayed this
- object release for at least another month.
-
- I appreciate all the positive response that the A3000-CPU object
- generated. I'm glad that I could contribute to the world of PD and ray-
- tracing (or as most of us would say, scan-lining?). I'm including a
- slightly improved A3000-CPU object in this archive. I added some raised
- lettering below the power and hard drive lights. I dunno why I over-
- looked that before, sorry 'bout that! I also fixed a few 'sharp' edges
- that should have been 'soft,' you probably wouldn't have even noticed
- the mistake, but I did.
-
- WARNING: Due to Imagine v2.0's new Phong Damn feature, converting
- this object to other formats (Sculpt, Lightwave3D, etc.) may produce
- nasty results. If you need to use this object in Imagine 1.1, load
- obect in Details Editor, enter "Pick Objects" mode and go through
- every obect, turning phong OFF on every object in the group.
-
- Now for some of the usual: Spread these objects as much as you like,
- but please keep all of the included files together, so the next guy
- knows what the heck to do with what he's downloaded. If you use any of
- these objects in a picture/animation that you distribute, please give me
- credit for modeling help. Do not use any of these objects commercialy
- without first obtaining written permission from me. Thanks.
-
- Now for some of the unusual: I'd like to send out warm greetings to
- all you nutty 3-D people out there, especially to the following:
- Rinaldo Petterino, Noam Ben Ami (Deep bow and flourish), Mike
- "Codename" VDS, Brad Schenck and AVP-1 (He knows who he is). What's
- this? Greets with an object file?! Hey! Just be glad I didn't etch these
- guys' names in the actual object! Muahahah!
